Tricorn Technology
Ltd has undertaken various successful bombproof and blast resistant projects
for buildings and structures in all areas of the
world including the UK, Saudi
Arabia,
Northern
Ireland and Kuwait. Within the UK, these have included the Jewel Room at the
Tower of London, a key strategic Reuters Office Building and the principal
facility providing power for the
London underground system. |
| Many of these projects required a bombproof retrofit system and involved the fitting of blast and projectile defences to existing buildings, such as the Tower of London. The PMG system is particularly suitable for upgrading existing structures and buildings as the bombproof system can be wet applied as a skim coat directly to a wall or surface, over a fitted structural fabric and anti-spalling mat. |

Joint ventures have initiated the development of the blast resistant
Citadel System, a secure room within a building providing total protection
against blast and chemical/biological attacks, the bombproof Tricorn
Watchtower and even bombproof litter bins, all utilising PMG construction
techniques.
The Citadel and Watchtower systems are built from extruded hollow core concrete slabs coated with ballistic resistant PMG The low cost of each system is enhanced by the speed of construction and the high levels of ballistic protection. |
